Marvel: Crisis Protocol - Crystal & Lockjaw

Not a headline act, and that is exactly the point. Crystal and Lockjaw are the two models that make an Inhumans roster function around its expensive royals. Both sit at the cheap end of the threat scale, which means they are how you afford Black Bolt.

Crystal controls the classical elements and doubles as an A-Force option, so she travels between rosters. Lockjaw is the more interesting purchase: a teleporting Inhuman hound whose job is to be somewhere your opponent did not expect, contesting an objective they thought was safe. Neither model is going to win a straight fight against a heavyweight, and you should not ask them to. Used properly they are objective-scoring and board-presence pieces, and MCP is a game decided by objectives far more often than by knockouts.

For a newer player this is a useful early lesson in list building: a squad of five good characters usually beats a squad of three great ones. Pair it with Marvel: Crisis Protocol - Black Bolt & Medusa and Marvel Crisis Protocol: Inhuman Royal Court to complete the family, or the Inhumans Affiliation Pack to bring it all together.
