Black armor, no insignia, no explanation offered. Death Troopers are the Empire's answer to the question of what happens when stormtroopers are not enough, and on a Legion table they field as a Special Forces unit for the Galactic Empire built to do damage rather than to sit on ground.

Six models is a compact and expensive squad, and that shapes everything about how you use them. This is not a unit you park on an objective for five turns and hope. It is one you point at something that needs to die, screened and supported on the way in, and it should be earning its cost every round it is on the board. Left idle in the open, an elite squad of six is a poor trade.

Build the list around them:

  • Stormtroopers or Snowtroopers holding objectives so the Death Troopers stay free to hunt
  • The Darth Vader & General Veers Character Expansion or Agents of the Empire for command
  • An AT-ST Walker giving your opponent a second problem to solve at the same time

Six miniatures and bases come with a unit card, three upgrade cards, a punch sheet and an insert. Black armor is a simpler paint job than it looks and the sculpts carry the detail well. A good pick for a player who already has a working Imperial core and wants a hammer to go with it.
