Marvel Crisis Protocol: War of Kings Character and Crisis Card Pack

Two products in one box. The first is Gladiator, Kallark of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, and he is one of the heaviest single models in the game: flight, a deep stamina pool, strong defences against every damage type and an extra power every round. His Confidence tokens build up as he lands his signature punch and then add dice to everything he does afterwards, so a Gladiator nobody deals with becomes genuinely frightening by the third round.

The counterplay is simply to hit him, which is the clever part of the design: he pulls attacks away from the rest of your squad and lets cheaper models play the objectives unmolested. He is also unaffiliated, so he drops into any roster and brings a leadership to none of them. Treat him as a centrepiece you build around, not a piece that quietly slots in.

The second product is the cards. Ten new Crisis cards, five Secure and five Extract, go straight into the pool you draw from in normal games and widen the range of maps you can be handed. They also chain together into a five mission narrative campaign, which is a story driven mode most collections do not otherwise have, and a fair reason to buy this even if Gladiator never makes your list.
