Droid armies win by weight of numbers, but numbers alone will not shift an entrenched clone position. That is what the AAT Battle Tank is for. As a Heavy choice for the Separatist Alliance, this repulsor vehicle anchors your line, throws heavy fire down the length of the board, and forces your opponent to spend activations answering it instead of quietly running the objectives.

Played well, the AAT is a threat projector. Park it where it has sightlines and the enemy either eats its firepower or takes the longer, slower route around it. The weakness is the flip side of that strength: it is one large model and one activation, so a dedicated anti-armor unit or a fast squad that gets behind it can take it off the table without much argument. Screen it, and do not push it out ahead of your droids.

Natural partners in a Separatist list:

  • B1 Battle Droids to hold objectives and soak the shots meant for the tank
  • B2 Super Battle Droids or Droidekas to punish anything that closes the gap
  • Super Tactical Droid Commanders to keep a large droid force ordered

The box holds one miniature and base, a unit card, three upgrade cards, a punch sheet and an insert. Assembly is straightforward and the broad armor panels make it one of the friendlier large kits to paint.
