The Republic is the deepest faction in Shatterpoint, largely because the Clone Wars gives it so many named Jedi. Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Shaak Ti all play differently, so you can build several very different strike teams from the same faction.

A sensible starting point if you want the widest range of squad packs to choose from as the game grows.
